Elderly brother killed in Limerick Road Crash

One of two elderly brothers critically injured in a road crash in County Limerick has died in hospital.

The collision involving their car and a 4×4 vehicle, occurred shortly after 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon near Lisnagry – on the N7, Limerick to Dublin road.

The brothers aged 77 and 75 had to be cut out of their vehicle by fire fighters while two ambulances from limerick were backed up by another from Scariff to bring the injured to hospital.

One 77 year old brother lost his fight for life overnight, while his sibling remains in a critical condition.

The 48 year old driver of the 4×4 was treated in hospital for minor injuries and shock.
