The trade union representing a majority of workers at ElSevier in Shannon says it’s hoping that the company will reverse it’s decision to effectively close the facility.
The company announced last month that it is to re-organise it’s global operations, resulting in job losses for 100 of it’s 107 Clare-based staff over the next three years.
The Unite Trade Union, which represents around three-quarters of employees at the Shannon plant, will hold talks with staff and then with management this afternoon
