Emer O’Loughlin Family Hopeful Of Murder Probe Breakthrough

The father of murdered North Clare woman Emer O’Louglin belives the Crimestoppers award being offered for information on her death will lead to progress in the investigation.

On Friday, Gardai issued a fresh appeal in the case and are particularly anxious to speak to the man in whose burnt out caravan the 23 year old’s body was found in Tubber in April 2005.

44 year old John Griffin was last seen on the Aran Islands a forthnight after the crime and gardai say he left his clothes off a cliff edge to fake his own death but they believe he is living in mainland Europe.

Speaking on Clare Fm’s Morning Focus today, John O’Loughlin questioned why the mobile home owner John Griffin ran following the murder and said he is confident the discovery of his whereabouts may answer key questions.
