A plane which made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport has taken off once again.
The United Airlines flight en route from Rome to Washington requested
permission to land due to technical reasons, and arrived in Shannon just after half three yesterday afternoon
It was examined by engineers and given the all clear to get back under way yesterday evening.

The plane’s then returned to Heathrow where passengers were transferred to connecting flights.
