An emergency summit of EU leaders has been called to discuss the continuing refugee crisis.
European Council president Donald Tusk has convened the meeting which will be held next Wednesday – a day after justice ministers meet to discuss new plans for dealing with the crisis.

The news comes as Croatia receives thousands of refugees who were turned away from Hungary with water cannon and tear gas.
