Ennis Town Council is increasing its support for the local trad festival to ensure it survives the recession.
Fears had been expressed for the future of the Ennis Trad Festival in the current economic climate, but the organisers have told the local authoirty it will go ahead next month.
The Town Council has agreed to almost double its financial contribution to the event to 7,500 euro to ensure its viability.
