Ennis Activist Insists ‘More Work Needed’ To Improve Job Opportunities For People With Disabilities

An Ennis activist insists ‘more work needs to be done’ to improve job opportunities for people with disabilities in Ireland.

It comes as a new policy paper has revealed the gap between the employment rate of people with and without disabilities is the second widest in the EU.

More than one in seven people in Ireland have a registered disability, with those with disabilities over half as likely to be employed as a non-disabled peer.
