An Ennis auctioneer insists the government is the only winner as rents continue to soar.
New figures from the Residential Tenancies Board show that the average cost of renting a home in Clare is now over €700 per month.
Shannon is the area with the highest monthly rate of €836, it’s around €765 in Ennis while West Clare is the cheapest part of the county to rent, with prices averaging €584.
