The Christmas lights in Ennis will officially be switched on this evening.
Mayor of Ennis Paul Murphy will perform the honour at the Ennis Market at 5 o’clock, kickstarting the festive period in the county town.
Santa Claus will join local representatives and meet crowds at the event later.

Traffic diversions may be in place around the market from 4pm to 5.30pm as the crowds gather.
