A second-long serving County Councillor in as many days has announced his departure from politics.
Independent representative Tommy Brennan, who has served on Ennis Town Council for 35 years and the County Council for nearly 30, says he won't be contesting next month's local elections.

Councillor Brennan says he now wants time to himself, but says local government reforms have also been a factor in his decision.
Separately, it's reported that current Ennis Town Councillors Peter Considine and Mary Coote Ryan are also standing down
