An Ennis-area Councillor hopes there isn't a sinister motive behind the re-appearance of election posters around the county.
Councillor Mary Howard, who ran for Fine Gael in the General Election, has reported 200 missing posters to Gardaí, some of which she believes became detached from poles during Storm Imogen.
Up to ten of them have re-appeared in obscure places over the past number of weeks, as well as posters belonging to candidates from other parties in the county.
The deadline for removing posters was March 4th and any candidate who have failed to do so faces a fine of €150.
Councillor Howard says she doesn't know who's behind it but that she hopes it's just "divilment".
