Tighters links between Clare and Germany are being forged this weekend.
A delegation from Ennis, lead by the town Mayor have travelled to the German town of Langenfeld as part of a new twinning intiative.
Officals in Langenfeld became aware of Ennis when they saw the Muhammad Ali coverge last year and the Irish Embassy in Berlin then facilitated the establishment of links between the two.

Its hoped that if strong links can be established between the two it would lead to a tourism and economic boost for Clare’s county town
