Three new mayors have taken up their roles in towns across County Clare
Independent Councillor Michael Guilfoyle is the new mayor of Ennis, replacing the outgoing Tommy Brennan.
Councillor Guilfoyle was elected into the role at the town Council’s AGM last evening, which also saw former mayor Frankie Neylon elected as his deputy

In Kilrush, Fine Gael Councillor Ian Lynch was confirmed as mayor where his deputy will be Independent Mairead O’Brian
Nearby Kilkee will also have a Fine Gael mayor for the next twelve months – Councillor Elaine Haugh Hayes received the mayoral chains there, with Councillor Paddy Collins as her Deputy Mayor.
