An Ennis man is in line for potential Oscar glory after a film written by him has been nominated for the prestigeous award.
Viva has been shortlisted in the Foreign Language Film category at the 88th Academy Awards.

The film which is funded by the Irish Film Board is written by ennis man Mark O'halloran and directed by Paddy Breathnach.
The final list of five nominees will be unveiled on January 14th and the Oscars take place at the end of February.
Speaking to Clare FM last month, Mark played down his chances of being nominated, but admitted it would be a huge boost.
