The Mayor of Ennis has pointed to stiffer penalties and court sentences as the only sollution to illegal dumping.
The latest IBAL litter league survey, which has been published today, ranks Ennis in 24th position in the country, having retained its 'Clean To European Norms' Status.

Eight out of ten sites surveyed in the county town received the top litter grade, however there was one moderately littered area and one litter blackspot.
