The Mayor of Ennis is questioning Aer Lingus' commitment to Shannon after the airline cancelled a number of flights from the Mid-West Airport.
Two transatlantic flights between Shannon and New York were cancelled yesterday because the airline needed to fly another route from Dublin.

A further flight, due to travel tomorrow has also been put off, with customers being offered a refund or alternative flights from the capital.
Councillor Ann Norton was due to fly out from Shannon tomorrow but now has to travel to Dublin. She says the airline is treating our county's airport as second best.
Clare FM has sought comment from Aer Lingus on the matter.
