An Ennis Priest is to sleep rough in the town this Christmas night.
Fr. Ger Fitzgerald has decided to spend tonight outside as an act of solidarity with the poor across the county.

His sleep-out begins at the now boarded-up Fairways apartment block, and runs from midnight through to 7 o’clock tomorrow morning. He has encouraged people to join him for part of the night if they wish.
Fr. Fitzgearld says Pope Francis’ vision for a Church of the Poor has been his inspiration in taking this step.
