The Ennis Regional Learning Centre has been granted funds to help people in Clare get back to work.
The Department of Education has allocated 20 million euro for a Labour Market Activation Fund, which will provide training to around six-and-a-half thousand people nationwide.
Particular emphasis is to be placed on the under 35s and the long-term unemployed.

Thirty of those places will be located at the centre in Ennis, as part of a level five Foundation Certificate Course run under the Shannon Consortium umbrella.
