Ennis retailers are hoping to capitalise on the recently opened motorway link with Galway City by attracting people down for their January sales.
The next few days will see droves of people up and down the country trek into shops to make the most of post-Christmas discounts.
Ennis Chamber’s ‘Drop Down to Ennis’ intiative aims to promote the county town in Galway and encourage people to travel south as opposed to north for their shopping needs.
