Ennis has retained an honour which recognises the quality of the town's night-life.
The county town has retained the Purple Flag award which praised areas which offer a strong mix of dining, entertainment and culture during evening and night-time hours, while also promoting the safety and wellbeing of locals.

Ennis was the first town in Ireland to attain purple flag status in 2013.
