The Director of the Ennis Samaritans says demand for its services has spiked during each of the three lockdowns in the past 12 months.
It comes as the charity has revealed its volunteers nationally have manned nearly 73,000 hours of calls in the past year as people look for support during the pandemic.
More than 1,500 people nationwide offer their time to answer the organisation’s phones, including a number here in Clare.
