Ennis taxi drivers have added their voices to calls for the end of pedestrianisation in Clare’s County Town.
Businesses on Abbey and O’Connell Streets claim their trade has dropped by around fifty per cent and have called an end to the Saturday trials
Ennis Town Council will debate this on Monday, but already Mayor Tommy Brennan and local authority officials have urged traders to allow the scheme to continue.

However Martin White, Clare Representative with the national Taxi Drivers Association, claims it’s an inconvenience for shoppers.
