An Ennis teacher has become the President of Ireland’s largest second-level teachers union.
Jack Keane, who teaches Geography and English at Rice College, has assumed the role of President of the A.S.T.I.
Originally from Galway City, Mr Keane has been involved in the association for over 30 years and has served on a number of committees in that time.

He says securing further investment in education is one of his key priorities for the year ahead.
