Hopes have been raised that homeowners and businesspeople in parts of Ennis will be able to get access to flood insurance, under a new initiative announced by the OPW.
The body is to begin sharing details of flood prevention works that it's carried with insurance companies, in the hope that this data will ease their concerns.

The scheme covers twelve areas where development works have taken place, including parts of the county town near the Upper River Fergus.
