Ennis Town Council says it remains committed to pedestrianisation, even though a Saturday trial of the scheme has ended.
The Council has confirmed that cars will return to O’Connell and Abbey Streets from this Saturday, after local representatives voted to end Saturday trials after just six weeks.
Businesses are against the car free scheme as they say it has led to a drop in business, but council officials say they are committed to delivering it as part of town’s Development Plan.
