Upgrade work at Ennistymon Vocational School has been given the green light.
The Building Unit of the Education Department has sanctioned grant aid for the work which includes a roof improvment and the development of the school lobby and staff toilets.
Junior Minster and Clare TD Tony Kilkeen who lobbied the department on behalf of the school says its very positive news, as it was feared the grant aid would be shelved due to the current economic downturn.
