37 people, 21 of them children, have taken up residence in the North Clare town as part of the Government's commitment under the EU Relocation Programme.

Continued support will be provided by Clare County Council and a number of agencies including TUSLA, the HSE, The Limerick and Clare Educational Training Board, and the county's Childcare Committee and Immigrant Support Centre.

Fr William Cummins is encouraging people to give them a warm welcome.
