The Enterprise Minister insists there’s ongoing engagement between the government and the Mid West Taskforce in implementing its recommendations.
There’s been strong criticism that the findings of the group, set up in the wake of several high profile job losses in Shannon and Limerick have been largely ignored since being presented to the then Minister Mary Coughlin.
However speaking in Shannon in recent days The Enterprise Trade and Innovation Minister said that he has had meetings with the head of the taskforce Denis Brosnan as well as a number of other stakeholders including Shannon Airport management.
