Hundreds of so called “mini dolmens" dotted around The Burren will soon be no more.
An environmental maintenance programme was launched today to deal with the problem.
The mini dolmens are erected by visitors to The Burren but cause irreparable damage to the protected landscape

Students of Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna primary schools along with local landowners, and members of The Burren Connect Project and Clare County Council are working to remove the mini stone structures.
