EU Justice Ministers will discuss reintroducing passport checks at borders today, as part of the latest attempt to deal with the refugee crisis.
Ministers are gathering in Brussels, where it's understood they'll consider effectively suspending the Schengen system for two years.

The Irish Times reports the move would need to be signed off on by EU leaders at a summit in two weeks.
A number of countries, including France and Germany, have already reintroduced passport checks at their borders in response to the refugee crisis and the Paris attacks.
