Members of the European Parliament are being urged to ensure that EU funding promised to Dell and Banta workers in Limerick is delivered without delay.
15 million euro has been ring fenced for the workers of the Mid West in areas like Limerick, Clare and Tipperary who worked for Dell computers, Banta and their suppliers and was publicly promised by the Commission President under the Globalisation Adjustment Fund in a recent visit to Shannon.
Munster MEP Alan Kelly has asked his fellow MEPs to ensure the funds are allocated as soon as possible as a much needed economic stimulus to the mid west region.
