A date has been set for the abolition of mobile phone roaming charges in the EU.
People will pay the same price for using their phones when travelling in the region as they do at home from the 15th of June 2017.

In the meantime, existing costs are set to be reduced from April of next year.
Agreement on scrapping the extra charges was reached earlier today following discussions between the European Parliament, Commission and Parliament.
