Euro Parliament Change for Clare

County Clare is to join the Ireland South Constituency for the next European Parliament Elections

New boundaries have been announced to take account the loss of an Irish seat in Europe, and Clare  – which was part of Ireland North West –  is now to be joined with Munster and South Leinster Counties.

Next year’s European Elections will see 11 MEPs elected in three constituencies – a three seater in Dublin and two four seaters called Midlands-North-West and Ireland South.

That South constituency comprises Carlow,Clare,Cork,Kerry,Kilkenny,Limerick,Tipperary, Waterford,Wexford and Wicklow.

While the Midlands North West constituency is made up of Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Kildare, Laois,Leitrim,Longford,Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath.
