Clare residents who are members of a West African ethnic group gather today as part of efforts to preserve their culture here in Ireland.

Over 800 people from the Igbo community, who hail from Eastern Nigeria and West Africa, have set up home in Clare and Limerick and today The Igbo Union Women Limerick and Clare group launch a new magazine and fundraising project at Cathedral Place in Limerick. The event gets underway at 2:00.
