A former Mayor of Ennis is confident that measures will be taken to improve the appearance of Parnell Street in the town in the coming months.
Clare County Council says all but one owner of derelict buildings have indicated they will carry out works, after the local authority issued orders to a number of properties under the Derelict Sites Act.

A grants shceme has also been introduced to encourage businesses to carry out works to improve buildings.
