Bus Eireann have assured residents in Miltown Malbay that they will lay on an extra service during this year’s Willie Clancy Festival in the town.
The national bus operator has confirmed to Clare FM that it will extend it’s Ennis-Miltown Malbay service during the festival in July, despite last week’s announcement that services to Clare’s county town would be cut.
From the end of next month, two of the four daily services to and from Ennis and the west Clare town will be cancelled.

Local Councilor Michael Hillery says that while he welcomes Bus Eireann’s announcement, he is worried about the rest of the tourism season.
