Three Clare schools have been granted funding for the purpose of providing additional accommodation.
The Department of Education and Skills is providing the cash to Caherea N.S., St Finnachta’s N.S. in Sixmilebridge and Scoil Cholmcille at Clouna, Ennistymon.
The decision comes after considerable population increases in recent years, and is designed to ease pressures on class sizes.

Under the funding announcement Caherea N.S. will benefit from a 25m2 Resource Room, while Scoil Cholmcille will receive a 80m2 mainstream classroom.
St Finnachta’s N.S. is receiving grant aid for the partitioning of a prefab to accommodate a shared resource teacher.
