Clare gardai are hopeful dangerous drivers are getting the message as extra privatised speed cameras are deployed across the country over the Saint Patrick’s Bank Holiday.
The speed detection vans have already been visible on a number of routes across Clare in the past few weeks and the increased rollout will see an extra 6 thousand hours of traffic monitoring nationwide.
Gardai have also launched a new campaign for the bank holiday with specific emphasis on the safety of cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists.
