The FAI has made a commitment to bring Giovanni Trapattoni to the Cliffs of Moher once the current industrial dispute is resolved.
As the strike over pay continues at the famous North Clare tourist attraction, today’s press conference to announce the Ireland Squad to face Croatia has been moved to Ennistymon to avoid disruption, in what’s seen as a serious blow to publicity aimed at making the Cliffs one of the new seven wonders of nature.
But speaking at a civic reception to honour the Football Association at Clare County Council last night, the FAI Chief Executive announced that Giovanni Trapattoni and assistant manager Marco Tardelli will support that bid in a future visit to the Cliffs.
