The comments come from Fáilte Ireland, following the presentation of this year’s Tourism Towns Awards.

Clare’s County Capital made the top ten towns making a difference to tourism along with other locations including Kenmare, Westport and Kilkenny which won the top prize.
The competition judges complimented Ennis for retaining the best of its natural environment and offering a wide range of quality attractions, accommodation and food offerings.
