The price of agricultural land in Clare fell by over a quarter last year.
New figures in today's the Irish Farmer's Journal show the rate of decline here was much greater than the national average, which was less than 6%.
Their survey has found that the average price for an acre of farm land was almost €6,500, down from over €8,500 in the previous year.
However, the report highlights the overall increase in 2012 of 33%, and says this due to the sale of a number of high profile properties.
2,500 acres of land was offered for sale in Clare last year, while the most expensive piece of land (on a per-acre basis) was a 10-acre parcel in Ennistymon, which fetched €160,000.
