There’s a severe flood alert in South East Clare as the ESB confirm it set to release further water from the Parteen Weir.
Flood levels in the area have risen somewhat overnight, but are expected to rise by about 3 inches today.

Meanwhile Ennis Town Council and the HSE Mid West say that one family has returned to their evacuated home in Ennis, two others have been provided with alternative accommodation.
Six homes are currently being inspected and a further 20 will be checked over the coming days
