The Minister for Agriculture is encouraging farmers who are suffering from a shortage of fodder, to contact Teagasc or seek advice.
Following last winters fodder crisis, Simon Coveney says there will be fodder transfer during the coming months, as there is now a surplus following a good summer.

Teagasc says the first six months of the year saw an unprecedented shortage of animal feed across the country, with hay and silage being brought in from Europe.
