Fear is being expressed for the future of healthcare in West Clare, after the HSE shot down a plea to build a primary care centre in Kilrush.
Four such centres are currently being planned for Clare – two in Ennis and one each in Ennistymon and Sixmilebridge – but it’s causing concern that West Clare is being neglected.
Now, Chair of the Oireachtas Health Committee and Clare Independent TD Dr Michael Harty is to be invited to address the matter at the next meeting of the West Clare Municipal District.
