A Clare government TD has admitted that electoral changes set to be brought in before the next election will likely lead to significant changes for Clare voters.

Pat Breen also says this may include the county losing one of it’s four TDs.
The Government has confirmed it’s intention to pursue plans to cut the number of TDs with the intention of reducing numbers in the 32nd Dáil.
Deputy Breen says the move will lead to the loss of seats for many constituencies, but the implications for Clare are not yet known, and won’t be clearer until the census results are published next year.
