Fears for cuts to Shannon Aer Lingus services

Fears have been expressed that further services at Shannon Airport are set to be cut.

There’s  speculation that Aer Lingus is planning to curtail a number of its routes from the Mid West with flights to the UK, mainland Europe as well as transatlantic services reportedly at risk.

It comes just days after the government confirmed its putting in matching funds for the development of the Lynx Cargo facility at Shannon, while figures for the airport for May are expected to show an upturn in growth.
