Clare Councillors have expressed concern that improvements in the county’s road network in recent years will be lost by virtue of a further cut in funding.
The government announced last month that it’s to cut Clare’s local roads allocation for 2013 by nearly 2 million euro, marking a reduction of over 40% on spending levels during the Celtic Tiger.

Clare County Council will unveil it’s roadworks plan next month, but it’s feared the tail-off in funding will see many of Clare’s primary and secondary routes fall into disrepair.
