Fresh fears that customers of the Killone Group Water Scheme could lose their supply have been allayed somewhat after it was confirmed that monies owed to the scheme have been paid.
Numerous residents contacted Clare FM after receiving messages which told them that their supply was set to be cut ‘due to the non-payment of money owed by Clare County Council.’

Efforts to contact members of the scheme’s committee last evening were unsuccessful but the council has confirmed it is to pay money owed for 2009 after it received the necessary documentation.
