There are fears an all-out strike by Aer Lingus pilots could have a detrimental effect on efforts to rebuild Shannon Airport services.
Staff at the former flag carrier are being ballottd for possible industrial action in support of their Aer Arann colleagues who have threatened to walk off the job from Tuesday in a row over pay. They’ve now entered into talks with management.

A result from the Aer Lingus ballot is due next Friday and if they do down tools it will likely result in serious passenger disruption at Shannon, Cork and Dublin Airports.
