At least two people have died and scores of others are missing and feared drowned, after a passenger ferry carrying up to 250 people capsized in central Bangladesh.

The boat was crossing Padma river, around 30 miles south of the capital Dhaka, when it began taking in water.
A rescue operation is now underway.
